Teotihuacán

19 Sep

Today was spent out at Teotihuacán, one of the most important archeological sites in Central/South America about an hour out of Mexico city. We had a guided tour and our guide was great, but I’m failing to remember anything outside of the fact that they had over 200,000 people living in the city at one stage, they worked out the lunar and a religious calendar, they had a game that was similar to football from which the winners were given as human sacrifice and they had an awesome sewage system all those years B.C. The views are pretty amazing and the climbs up the pyramids are steep, but worth it.

Tonight we say “Adios” to Mexico City and “Hola” to Oaxaca after a 6.5 hour night bus ride. ¡Vamos!
